Description

This woven fragment features a pattern of eight-pointed stars in various configurations, bordered by alternating black and red vegetal forms. Its fragmentary nature makes it difficult to assess what its original size, or function may have been.
A vertically long silk and metal textile fragment features vibrant pink and dark brown patterns on a cream ground. Two central rows of dark brown floral rosettes are framed by interconnected pink geometric stars and diamond shapes. Symmetrical horizontal bands at the top and bottom contain alternating pink and dark brown vase-like forms. A green border lines the bottom edge, while the top right corner is heavily frayed with loose threads.
