Did You Know?

Opposing pairs of half-acanthus leaves are arranged to form oval compartments enclosing eight-petaled rosettes.
Two vertical, irregular fragments of woven wool and cotton feature a repeating botanical pattern on a muted green ground. Stylized reddish-brown leaves and cream-colored flowers with red centers are accented by dark blue curved forms. Frayed, irregular edges frame the intricate design. A solid beige band runs vertically along the right edge of one fragment, contrasting with the dense floral motifs in muted green, red, and cream.
