Description

The rippled red and silver surface of this fiber sculpture conjures a hilly landscape, as the title implies. The artist explains: “[My artworks] derive from my interest in the interaction of surface and structure. . . . I am interested in presenting textiles as an art form without denying their textile origins. The results have a dual reference: they are textiles and yet they refer to something nontextile.”
