A hanging scroll in ink and pale colors depicts a misty autumn landscape. At the upper left, Chinese calligraphy and a red seal occupy the cream-colored paper. Below, rounded mountains rise above a hazy valley. Clumps of trees with rust-colored leaves dot the middle ground near still water. In the foreground, bamboo grows on a bank to the left, while a small hut stands near trees to the right.
