Description

Whole Surface: Confined 1 is part of a series of abstract sculptural forms, each with at least one hole in which the artist uses machine stitched free-motion embroidery. The forms are influenced by topology, an area of mathematics concerned with the properties of surfaces that are deformed through twisting and stretching.
