About The Event
Celebrate long summer days and hot summer nights at the museum’s 14th annual Solstice—a night when art and music come together. This year, Solstice’s main stage features a lot of brass instruments and horn sections with live music sets from Da Land Brass Band (Cleveland), Balkan Paradise Orchestra (Spain), El Laberinto del Coco (Puerto Rico), and Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico). It’s a Vibe, one of Cleveland’s favorite dance parties, takes over the atrium and showcases DJ sets from Sound on Tape, Corey Grand, and Knyce. Projections, light displays, and decorations electrify the museum. The galleries stay open late into the night, and some of them host flash talks presented by museum staff. In addition, guests can experience portions of the CMA’s blockbuster exhibition, Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow.
Tickets are $150. The all-inclusive ticket covers admission as well as unlimited food and beverages, including beer, wine, and canned cocktails. This event is for guests 21 or older.
Members receive exclusive access to presale tickets beginning on Monday, April 28, at 9:00 a.m. The presale continues until tickets have sold out or until 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29. If available, tickets for the public go on sale on Tuesday, April 29, at 9:00 a.m.
Become a member for a first chance to reserve your presale tickets.
NOTE: The CMA closes at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, and opens at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, due to Solstice. Our south doors are temporarily closed from Thursday, June 19, through Monday, June 23. Please use the main entrance when entering and exiting the building during those days. Provenance Restaurant is closed on Sunday, June 22.
As a safety precaution, visitors pass through a metal detector upon entry to the event. See a complete list of museum policies.

Featured Visual Artist
9:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.: Kevin Jackson Projection Mapping
The CMA comes alive with projection mapping from Cleveland artist Kevin Jackson, a forward-thinking visual artist specializing in unique projection-mapping installations. Jackson has produced one-of-a-kind visuals for Tobacco, for Black Moth Super Rainbow, and at the Super Bowl, and he is consistently hired by internationally renowned DJs and festivals. At Solstice, he creates site-specific content inspired by the museum’s art collection and the music of the other bands performing.
