Teaching Innovation Fellowship

Applications for the 2026–27 Teaching Innovation Fellowship are now closed. Please check back in spring 2027 for information regarding the 2027–28 fellowship.

Are you an educator committed to transforming teaching and learning through experimentation and innovative practices? We invite pre-K to grade 12 educators across all content areas to apply for a yearlong, immersive fellowship focused on enhancing pedagogical practice through object-based learning. This program provides a structured opportunity to integrate hands-on inquiry with reflective, research-informed practice.

Program Highlights

  • A mandatory four-day consecutive summer immersive session is held in July.
  • Fellows participate in monthly convenings during the academic year (scheduled on either Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings), sharing insights from self-designed action-research projects.
  • Graduate credit and CEUs are available; participants receive a $1,000 stipend and a certificate of completion after meeting program expectations.
  • Application for the next cohort opens in March 2027.

Program Goals

  • Enhance educators’ understanding and application of gallery teaching and object-based learning methodologies
  • Promote evidence-based pedagogical innovation and exploration through individualized action-research projects
  • Build a collaborative cohort of educators committed to inquiry-driven teaching practices
  • Develop a collaborative gallery-based experience that may serve the fellow’s own students or colleagues
  • Contribute to the broader field of education by disseminating findings and advocating for best practices

This fellowship integrates experiential, hands-on learning with reflective, research-informed practice, fostering both professional growth and the generation of actionable insights for the broader educational community.
