A dark brown carpenter's plane shaped with a rectangular base curls upward and back into a scroll-like handle at the front. The side walls rise in two scalloped ridges toward the taller back section, bridged by a horizontal crossbar in the center. Irregular, chipped edges and a heavily pitted surface give way to a rugged, weathered appearance across the entire form.
