A horizontal silk and linen embroidery fragment features three red bands divided by diagonal black and cream stripes. Small cream buds line the narrow outer borders. Within the wide central band, bird-like creatures with checkered bodies and tiered, branching structures are meticulously outlined in black thread. One bird faces right while two face left. Fine cream crosses and dots punctuate the crimson background, creating a dense, repeating geometric pattern across the textile.
